Decks and fences will be washed as needed and in some cases stripped completely to obtain the best surface for all stains to adhere properly.
Stains will be hand brushed on most decks and can be sprayed or hand brushed on fences. The application method will depend on a few different variables. Semi-transparent stains, toners, solid stains and timber oils are used on the surfaces to enhance, protect and beautify the wood.
The customer’s goal, as well as the current state of the wood, will determine which type of stain will be best suited for the surface. Prep-Rite Painting uses Cabot, Sikkens, Sherwin Williams and other high quality latex and oil stains.
